Each year, the club awards scholarships to deserving graduating seniors.
The awarding of scholarships will depend from year to year on the Club's financial condition. Applicants will be required to meet the following criteria to be eligible for consideration:
The applicant must be a club member in good standing and have been a member for at least twelve months prior to the deadline to submit an application.
The applicant must be registered or otherwise enrolled in an accredited college or community college at the time of payout (proof of enrollment or registration required).
The applicant must attach a copy of a recent high school transcript verifying their cumulative grade point average.
The applicant must attach an essay (250-500 words) answering this prompt: What are the most important things you feel you are taking away from being a member of the Hilo Jr. Tennis Club?
The applicant must attach a statement of his or her service to the community.
The applicant must attach a statement of her or her assistance rendered to the HJTC during the applicant's tenure with the club.
Notice of the Scholarship Award Program will be announced each year by email.
